Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Clearfield, UT is seeking a Principal Tool Engineer – Level 2/3 to lead tooling design, analysis, and fabrication support for aerospace programs. The role collaborates with review teams, vendors, and manufacturing to meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives, with a 9/80 workweek and every other Friday off.

Candidates should have a STEM degree with 2+ years (Level 2) or 5+ years (Level 3) and experience in FE analysis (NX/ANSYS/ABAQUS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 2+ years (Level 2) or 5+ years (Level 3) professional experience.
• Experience with closed-form and FE analysis; NX/ANSYS/ABAQUS preferred.
• NX modeling and FEA experience required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interface with review team to assure customer satisfaction with the design.
• Manage projects and coordinate procurements and fabrication to meet cost and schedule requirements.
• Inspect fabricated toolings to assure compliance to design.
• Develop tooling concepts and improve manufacturing processes to meet customer requirements.
