Olympic Steel Inc. is seeking a Tool and Die Technician to monitor tooling and inserts for dies and equipment, assess damaged tooling, and perform repairs as needed. You will read blueprints, sharpen dies, and oversee the preventive maintenance schedule for all tooling and dies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of machining experience required; tool & die experience strongly preferred.
• Mechanically inclined, production oriented and safety and quality conscious.
• Detail oriented with ability to inspect material for quality conformance using measuring devices and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Monitor tooling and inserts for dies and equipment; assess damaged tooling and perform repairs as needed.
• Read blueprints and sharpen dies; work with surface-grinding equipment.
• Oversee preventative maintenance schedule for tooling and dies.
