Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of formal apprenticeship program with journeyman card or similar experience.
• Excellent time management with ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Strong problem solving using 8D and 5 Whys.
• Excellent communication to interface with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Comply with Autokiniton's values and policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up machine shop tools with attention to tolerances, speeds, and material types.
• Read blueprints or follow verbal/written instructions to copy or fit parts.
• Plan setup and operation of tools considering material, tolerances, feeds, speeds and coolant usage.
• Heat-treat or weld parts as required.
• Inspect work using precision measuring tools and gauging equipment.
• Assemble dies, jigs, fixtures, and tooling; test dies to spec.
• Troubleshoot tooling during production and assist other tool room staff.
• Maintain safety best practices and 6S housekeeping in the area.
• Process hourly/daily paperwork as required.
• Other duties as required.
