Job summary

MiTek is seeking an experienced Tool Room/Tool & Die Machinist in Tolleson, AZ to manufacture, repair, and maintain tooling and dies used in stamping operations. The role demands blueprint interpretation, precision machining, and die maintenance expertise to sustain production quality and equipment reliability.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of tooling/machining experience, ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with precision measuring instruments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Journeyman Machinist certification or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of machining and tool room experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and machine shop equipment.
• Stamping die experience and progressive die maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture tooling, die components, and replacements from blueprints or samples.
• Repair and restore worn tooling and dies to original specifications.
• Operate machine shop equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses).
• Inspect parts with precision measuring instruments for dimensional accuracy.
• Assist with die teardown, troubleshooting, repair, assembly and maintenance.
• Maintain die maintenance records and documentation.
