Westlake Royal Building Products in Columbus, OH is seeking a Tool & Die Technician to lead the tooling group supporting vinyl siding extrusion operations. The role offers a $24.00–$27.46/hour base with a $1,000 sign-on and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include monitoring extrusion operations, resolving tooling-related issues, and interpreting schedules and drawings. A minimum of one year industrial experience is required, with AWS welding certification preferred.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of industrial experience.
• Desired: AWS basic welding certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitors PVC extrusion operations to ensure the tool and die group is adequately supporting production.
• Investigates and resolves product or process problems related to tooling.
• Reads and properly interprets production schedules, product drawings, tooling drawings, and bills of process.
• Gathers and analyzes data to determine potential problems with the tooling and effectively reports findings.
• Identifies and develops process control improvement opportunities.
• Communicates effectively. This includes the ability to listen, follow instructions, identify and record problems, and make recommendations to correct discrepancies.
