Job summary

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is seeking a Tool and Die Technician in Tulsa, OK. This 1st shift role runs Monday through Thursday, 5:00am to 3:00pm with overtime as required.

You will repair and maintain metal stamping dies and roll form tooling, work with press and mill operators, and support the maintenance department on machining projects using mills, lathes, grinders, and CNC equipment. Experience with CNC programming and MasterCam is required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma
Tech School Formal Apprenticeship/Journeyman
5 or more years of experience making or maintaining metal stamping dies
Experience with roll form tooling and processes
Ability to trouble shoot tooling issues in the press or on the roll forming mills
5 or more years of manual machining experience with knee mills, toolroom lathes, bandsaws, surface grinders
Experience running and programming CNC lathes and mills using conversational programming
Ability to program a wire EDM machine with MasterCam
Experience welding tool steel and other ferrous metals

Responsibilities

Repair of metal stamping dies including sharpening, cleaning, and refurbishing
Repair and maintenance of tube mill cut off dies
Work with press/mill operators to remedy part quality issues
Supporting maintenance department with various machining needs and projects
Machining of various die components and other components needed for the plant using equipment such as mills, lathes, surface, grinders, and CNC equipment
Set up and tear down of roll form tooling
Cleaning and polishing of roll form tooling
Coordinate with cross functional teams
