Job summary

Black-Peak Inc. is seeking a Tool & Die Technician in the Elkhart, IN area. The role supports production by maintaining stamping tools, troubleshooting tools, and repairing dies and fixtures. Requires 3 years of tool and die experience and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.

The position offers a 1st shift with hours from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, an hourly pay of $27–$28 plus overtime and comprehensive employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Must read blueprints and schematics and tool design drawings.
• Must have experience in die repair in a metal stamping environment.
• Three years of manufacturing and tool and die setting experience required.
• Must speak English (Spanish a plus).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, corrective and emergent maintenance on dies, fixtures and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot tools and assess broken tooling and assist in repairs.
• Support production by ensuring stamping tools are maintained and ready for scheduled runs.

Location: Elkhart, IN area

Shift: 1st shift is 5:00 am to 1:30pm Monday – Friday

Pay: $27 up to $28 hourly + Overtime when applicable + employee benefits

Seeking a Tool Maker with experience making cutting and machine tools, jigs, and dies. The Technician also ensures all stamping tools are properly maintained and ready to support scheduled production. Assist production by troubleshooting tools, assess broken tools and assist in repairs.

Details & Qualifications:

• Performs preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and emergent maintenance on all production dies, fixtures and other production-related equipment.
• 3 years prior experience in manufacturing and tool and die setting.
• Must be able to read blueprints and schematic and tool design drawings.
• Must have proficiency in die repair in a metal stamping environment.
• Prefer general experience operating
• Experienced with Manual lathes

• Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
