Job summary

Labor Solutions, LLC is seeking a Tool and Die Supervisor to lead the design, maintenance, and repair of tooling used in our manufacturing processes. You will drive production efficiency, quality, and safety by guiding a team of skilled tool and die makers and machinists.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints and CAD designs, overseeing tooling projects, coordinating with engineering and quality teams, and implementing Lean improvements to reduce downtime and waste.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade certificate; associate degree/technical certification preferred.
• 5–7 years in tool and die work with at least 2 years in a supervisory/lead role.
• Ability to read blueprints/CAD designs and use precision measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of tool and die makers and machinists.
• Oversee design, construction, modification, and repair of tooling; interpret engineering drawings.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality control to improve processes.
• Ensure safety and quality standards, enforce OSHA guidelines, and conduct regular inspections.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure efficient use of manpower and machinery.
• Identify opportunities for Lean improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
