Evapco in Greenup, IL is seeking a Tool & Die Technician for the 3rd shift to maintain, set up, and perform preventative care on precision equipment including tube mills and embossing mills. Uptime and reliability are the core goals, with responsive troubleshooting to keep production on track.

The role requires reading drawings, using calipers and micrometers, and mentoring others. Expect involvement in 5S, documentation, and occasional variable hours based on workload.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Use and understanding of calipers, micrometers and precision gauging equipment.
• Recognize and solve problems; mentor and train when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Serve equipment operators to help them perform daily duties.
• Communicate issues and improvements to the team.
• Follow all safety standards required by Evapco.
• Operate machinery per diagrams, sketches, manuals and specs.
• Participate in 5S activities and improve processes.
• Support capital equipment launches and training across machines.
• Document work with notes, BOM updates, or drawings.
• Report near misses and accidents and assist investigations when needed.
• Occasionally adjust hours based on workload.
