Job summary

Randstad USA in Michigan is seeking an experienced tool and die technician for the second shift. You will repair, maintain, and troubleshoot dies and tooling, working with the production team to resolve issues and ensure quality parts.

The role requires no degree, 5 years of experience, and the ability to read blueprints and use measurement tools. The schedule is 2 PM to 10 PM, with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in die tooling or metalworking.
• Experience level: Experienced.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of dies.
• Work with production to resolve tooling issues.
• Read blueprints, sketches, or specifications to plan fabrication operations.
• Use measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances (calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators).
• Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders to shape parts.
• File, grind, and adjust parts for proper fit.
• Work with large progressive, transfer and deep draw dies.
• Cut, shape, and trim blanks using power and hand tools.
• Rework damaged components as needed.
• Interact professionally with team members; troubleshoot to find solutions.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
