Job summary

Cretex Medical is seeking a Tool and Die Maker to support the Stamping Business Unit by building, maintaining, and improving fixtures, gauges, and progressive tooling. You will troubleshoot complex challenges, ensure tooling reliability, and contribute to production quality and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers 1st shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm and requires a technical degree or equivalent experience with 3+ years in progressive tooling.

Qualifications

• Requires a technical degree or equivalent machine tool experience.
• 3+ years building or maintaining progressive tooling.
• Strong knowledge of cutting and forming; diagnose by reading progressive strips.
• Root cause analysis and effective solutions.
• Clear communication with production, engineering, and quality teams.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on production-ready stamping tooling to ensure optimal performance.
• Accurately document all activities in required databases and records.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with team to apply best practices in maintaining progressive tooling.
• Monitor and refine toolroom processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Set up and operate manual toolroom equipment to produce tooling components, fixtures, and other parts.
• Set up and operate toolroom measurement equipment for accuracy.
• Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with emphasis on safety and quality.
