Simpson Strong-Tie Company Inc. in McKinney, TX is seeking a Tool & Die Maker to support manufacturing by constructing and machining details for dies, repairing and building dies, and prototypes.

You will operate tool room machinery to finish precision details used to repair and maintain dies. The role requires reading prints, applying materials knowledge, and coordinating with teams to ensure die functionality with presses.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive dies and tools experience.
• CAD/CAM: Ability to work with AutoCAD is a plus.
• Display strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Select, dress, set up, and use grinding wheels for grinding operations.
• Perform die maintenance: cleaning, inspection, sharpening, preventive maintenance.
• Machine parts using lathe, mill, drill press and other shop equipment.
• Verify assembly by checking dimensions, clearances and alignment with precision gauges.
