Job summary

AmTab in Bensenville, IL is seeking a Tool and Die Maker/Machinist to join our team. The role focuses on building and repairing dies, fixtures and tooling for our furniture and education environments manufacturing processes.

You will read blueprints, setup machines, and participate in improvements to tooling, processes and quality. On-site position requiring 3+ years of tool & die experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education, certification.
• 3+ years of job experience in a similar role.
• Tool and Die experience a must.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair progressive and single-station dies.
• Build and repair jigs, fixtures, tool and dies for the furniture industry.
• Prepare tooling layouts, detailing and final assembly drawings.
• Sharpening of dies.
• Lead continuous improvement projects for tooling and processes.
