Job summary

KI seeks a full-time Tool and Die Maker/Machinist for our Green Bay manufacturing team on 3rd shift. You will design, build and repair dies, fixtures and tooling, operating CNC and traditional machines while reading blueprints and dimensions.

Qualified candidates have or are pursuing an Associate degree in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent, with CAD/CAM skills and strong geometry knowledge. Join KI to contribute to efficient, high-quality production.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or in progress in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent.
  • Journeyman Tool & Die or Journeyman Machinist program in progress considered.
  • Basic geometry, trig, and algebra understood.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and repair dies, fixtures, molds, tooling equipment, etc.
  • Operate tool room equipment (CNC machining centers, manual mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, etc.)
  • Read and understand blueprints
  • Sketch components complete with essential dimensions.
  • Use inspection instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
  • Work closely with engineers and production/support technicians.
  • Assist in development of new plant equipment
  • Make suggestions for improvement

Job Duties
  • Design, build and repair dies, fixtures, molds, tooling equipment, etc.

Minimum Requirements
  • Completion or ongoing progress of an Associate degree in a Machine Tool Technology or equivalent degree or completion or ongoing progress into a Journeyman Tool & Die program or Journeyman Machinist program is required.

  • Understanding of basic geometry, trigonometry and algebra.
  • Utilize CAD software
  • Able to understand and apply hydraulic and pneumatic principals
  • Ability to utilize SURFCAM (CAD/CAM) software.
