Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a machinist-in-training to learn tool and die trade, operating lathes, CNCs, milling machines, grinders, and heat treating furnaces. You will assist in fabricating tool parts and replacing dies, while supporting production and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications include a high school diploma with 1 year machine shop experience; associate degrees in tool & die or industrial maintenance are preferred. The company offers strong benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school education with one year machine shop experience required.
• Preferred: Associate's degree in tool & die or mold making with six months on-the-job machine shop experience.
• Preferred: Associate's degree in industrial technology with emphasis in industrial maintenance and two+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and interpret verbal instructions, drawings, and blueprints.
• Set up and operate tool room machines including lathes, CNCs, milling machines, drill presses and grinders.
• Fabricate new or replacement parts for dies or machines and support other tool makers.
• Operate heat treating furnaces and ensure quality and safety of work.
• Complete paperwork such as job cards and inspection reports; keep area neat and organized.
