Job summary

Parker Hannifin Baldwin Filters division is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Machinist who will learn and operate lathes, CNCs, milling machines, grinders, and related equipment in a production environment. The role emphasizes precision, safety, and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, handling tool room machinery, fabricating parts, and maintaining accurate documentation, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school education with one year machine shop experience.
• Associate’s degree in tool & die or mold making with six months on-the-job experience in machine shop functions.
• Associate’s degree in industrial technology with emphasis in industrial maintenance and two or more years of experience in industrial maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Is capable of receiving and interpreting verbal instructions, drawings, and blueprints.
• Uses precision hand tools and measuring equipment. Learns how to set up and operate tool room machines. Includes lathes, milling machines, drill press, band saw, CNC machines, and grinders.
• Learns to handle and use machinist’s hand tools and precision measuring devices.
• Operates heat treating furnaces.
• Fabricates new or replacement parts for dies or machines.
• Supports other tool makers as required.
• Produces prototype parts as required.
• Learns fabrication and troubleshooting of all production machines and stamping dies.
• Completes paperwork as required including job cards, inspection reports, logs, etc.
• Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and under control.
• Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.
