Job summary

RSA Rochester (Integrity Tool) in Ontario, NY seeks an experienced machinist to take parts from print to finished product. You’ll read drawings, pick tooling, write or edit programs, and run setups with multiple spindles active.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in CNC machining or tool & die, strong setup skills on mills and lathes, and proficiency in G-code or CAM (Mastercam a plus). You’ll mentor apprentices and uphold tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining and/or tool & die experience.
• Blueprint reading and GD&T proficiency.
• Programming ability: conversational, G-code at the control, or CAM (Mastercam a plus).
• Strong set-up skills on mills and lathes; wire EDM or grinding a plus.
• Ability to hold +/- 0.001" tolerances.
• Proven ability to run multiple machines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Take parts from drawing to finished product — plan the job, program, set up, and run it.

• Run multiple machines at once, keeping spindles cutting while you set up the next job.

• Build, repair, and modify tooling, fixtures, dies, and gauges.
• Hold close tolerances and verify your own work with mics, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot at the machine — chatter, tool life, finish, and dimensional issues.
• Help train apprentices and share what you know with the crew.

We’re looking for a true all‑around machinist for RSA Rochester (Integrity Tool) in Ontario, NY — someone who can take a part from print to finished product on their own. You'll read the drawing, pick the tooling and workholding, write or edit the program, dial in the set‑up, and run it. This is a hands‑on, high‑trust role for an experienced tool & die maker or CNC machinist who likes owning a job start to finish and keeping more than one spindle busy.
