CNC Machinist (Lathe / Mill / Multi-Axis)

Location: East Aurora, NY / Falconer, NY / Corry, PA / Dayton, OH

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift: 1st and 2nd Shifts Available

Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate with benefits

Position Summary

We are seeking skilled CNC Machinists to support precision machining operations across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role involves setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality components that meet strict specifications, quality standards, and production schedules.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on machining experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and the ability to maintain tight tolerances in a fast-paced production environment. This position offers opportunities to work with advanced machining technology and contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines including lathes, mills, and multi-axis equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings
  • Produce precision parts that meet quality and tolerance requirements
  • Perform routine inspections using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
  • Monitor machine performance and identify tooling or equipment issues
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation
  • Perform tool changes, offsets, and minor machine adjustments
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow company safety policies and quality standards
  • Communicate production issues and updates with supervisors and team members
  • Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
  • Assist in training new operators when needed
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of CNC machining experience (lathe, mill, or multi-axis)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of CNC machining or setup experience
  • CNC programming experience (G-code or conversational programming)
  • Experience with multi-axis or mill-turn machines
  • Experience working with tight tolerances (precision or aerospace components)
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
  • Experience working with metals, alloys, or plastics
  • CNC certification or technical training
