Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Louisville, KY seeks a Tool and Die Maker to support die maintenance and production tooling. The role requires completing a bona fide apprenticeship or having 8 years of related experience, or a combination of training equivalent to apprenticeship.

Extensive die maintenance on large body dies, plus setup and operation of lathes, mills and grinders, is expected. Candidates will be evaluated through a pre-employment process including drug screen and background check.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a bona fide apprenticeship, or have 8 years of previous experience, or a combination of previous work experience and training equivalent to a bona fide apprenticeship program in the trade.
• Extensive die maintenance on large body class A dies; reproduce dies, read process sheets, and identify root causes of downtime.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathes, milling machines and grinders to cut, bore, or shape parts to specification.
• Perform die maintenance, rebuild die sections, and implement engineering changes on dies.
• Read PM instructions and work orders; analyze downtime causes and implement resolutions.
