Job summary

Staff Management | SMX is seeking a Tool & Die Maker to build, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot tooling, dies, and fixtures used in production. You will collaborate with engineering and production to improve tooling performance and ensure quality standards.

The position offers 1st and 2nd shifts with direct hire, full-time employment and benefits including medical/dental insurance, 401(k), and STD/LTD. Expect hands-on work with both manual and CNC machines in a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

Tool & Die, machining, or related manufacturing experience.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience with manual and CNC machines.
CNC programming and print creation experience.
Welding experience.
Automotive manufacturing background.
Technical training, apprenticeship, or vocational education.

Responsibilities

Build, repair, and maintain tooling, dies, and fixtures.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Operate manual and CNC equipment, including mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM machines.
Troubleshoot tooling issues and perform preventive maintenance.
Use precision measuring instruments to verify quality and accuracy.
Follow all safety and quality procedures.
