Job summary

The Toro Company is seeking a Tool and Die Maker for the 2nd shift in Minnesota. The role involves planning, designing, building, repairing, and troubleshooting dies and fixtures to close tolerances, reading prints, and performing precision machining.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years of tool room experience or completion of a Tool & Die program, and the ability to work with close tolerances and safety practices on a bench in a punch press environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of technically related Tool Room experience or completion of a recognized Tool and Die academic program, completion of recognized Tool & Die apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, build, and repair a wide variety of complicated tools, dies, jigs, gauges and fixtures, to close tolerance, review use and application of tools to resolve (troubleshoot) problems.
• Required having knowledge of metals, use of heat treating processes, basic hydraulics and basic low voltage wiring. Parts must be made to print and process specifications. Responsible for inspecting own work. Complete all associated paperwork and record keeping as required.
