Job summary

Ideal Tridon is seeking a Tool Maker for 2nd Shift at our Auburn Hills, MI plant. The role involves repairing, designing, and maintaining tooling and machines, reading blueprints, and providing technical recommendations to management.

Overtime and weekend reporting may be required. Responsibilities include operating drills, lathes, grinders, and milling machines; ensuring safety and quality standards; and performing quality checks and preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeyman card preferred.
• Hi-Lo certification preferred; will be trained and certified.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Read and interpret blueprints and design schematics.
• Set up machine tools such as drills, lathes, grinders, and milling machines.
• Inspect finished dies and tools for defects and finish.
• Perform preventative maintenance and reporting.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot tool and die issues and repair as needed.
