Job summary

AUTOKINITON in Fountain Inn, SC is seeking a skilled Tool & Die journeyman for 2nd shift (3:15PM – 11:45PM). This full-time role involves planning, setting up, and operating machine shop tools to produce dies and tooling to exact specifications.

You will perform hand operations, fit and assemble dies, test dies, and troubleshoot for quality. A formal apprenticeship with journeyman card or equivalent is required, with a high level of precision and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal apprenticeship program with journeyman card or equivalent to 8 years’ experience.
• High degree of precision and control in work where damage could be high.
• High degree of attention and care required when operating machine tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan the setup and operation of all machine shop tools, considering materials, tolerances, cutting tools, coolants, lubricants and speeds.
• Perform hand operations involved in producing jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies; use hand tools.
• Fit and assemble jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies; set up, run, and test dies to meet specifications and trace issues.
