Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints to repair and make new components.
Work from verbal or written instructions.
Weld, repair, and heat treat different materials including tool steels.
Use precision measuring and gaging tools to perform required inspection.
Tear down, repair, and reassemble tooling in the press and on the bench.
Gain knowledge and experience of a skilled trades associate in the tool room by combining local college courses with daily on-the-job training.
