Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and setup tooling for production runs.
• Operate machine shop equipment (manual and CNC milling, lathes, grinders).
• Set up and troubleshoot dies and molds on stamping presses and plastic mold equipment.
• Maintain GMP and SOP compliance in daily work.

Position Summary

The Tool & Die Maker is responsible for maintaining production, quality performance levels, and the efficient use of manufacturing equipment in accordance with his/her knowledge and training in conformance with established Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice.

Essential Functions

1. Must be able to read blueprints
2. Must be able to operate all machine shop equipment
   
   1. Milling machines (manual and CNC), lathes, surface grinders and other equipment
   
   
3. Experience servicing repairing progressive high speed stamping dies
4. Experience servicing and repairing high cavitation plastic injection molds
5. Must be able to work unsupervised to a tolerance of .0001”
6. Responsible for setting up and troubleshooting molds and dies – Schaal high speed stamping presses, Sumitomo plastic mold injection machines

Your Profile

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School or GED equivalent required.
• 4 years minimum experience in machine shop role.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to speak, read and write English in order to understand operating and other related procedures
• Able to communicate goals in an inspirational manner that makes them worthy of pursuit
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic skills.
• Performs basic computer skills
• Ability to learn and implement GMP, SOPs and other procedures.
