Job summary

Datwyler Group in Middletown, NY, seeks a Production Operator for packaging equipment in a GMP pharmaceutical setting. You will monitor machines, ensure quality and safety, and follow SOPs/WI to meet productivity standards.

In the Moulding & Trimming Department you will handle compression moulding and trimming of rubber preforms, perform pre-controls, and maintain a clean, safe work area while collaborating with the team. Shift 12:00–20:30.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and write in English to understand procedures and documentation.
• Basic arithmetic and computer skills are required.

Summary/Objective

The Production Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring packaging equipment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role ensures that products are packaged according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory standards, and company procedures, while maintaining high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency. This position is in the Moulding & Trimming Department. The Production Operator operates manual and semi-automatic compression moulding/trimming machines in accordance with SOP’s and WI’s to produce moulded sheets of varied products from preform rubber compounds in accordance to productivity standards. Preforms Pre-control on rubber compounds in accordance to productivity standards. The shift for this position is 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Essential Functions

• Ensures that equipment are maintained in good and safe working condition and work area is clean, safe and organized.


• Monitors equipment performance and recommends improvements.


• Duly follows organizational and work specific instructions, attends applicable trainings and meetings.


• Fulfils tasks efficiently and in due course. Meets productivity standards (where defined). Can organize and perform work effectively.


• Abides by safety regulations at all times. Promotes safety standards at work place and in the team. Identifies potential safety risks and reports them actively to line manager.


• Demonstrates initiative to exceed a common performance. Flexibly adopts changes in tasks, work place, or team. Works reliably, keeps agreements. Assumes responsibility for tasks entrusted.

Required Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Ability to speak, read and write English in order to understand operating and other related procedures and to complete all position related documentation.


• Ability to perform basic arithmetic skills.
