Qualifications

• Ability to lift/move up to 80 pounds and work in a loud industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair progressive dies following design and blueprint guidelines.
• Modify tooling to adapt to customer requests and engineering requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex press and die performance issues on the floor.
• Execute tooling changeovers efficiently across multi-part production tooling systems.
• Operate machine tools (drills, lathes, grinders, milling machines) to fabricate components.
• Conduct test runs on completed tools and dies to check for defects and contours.
• Maintain safety standards in a loud industrial environment.

Direct Client Need

Responsibilities:

• Build and repair progressive dies following strict design and blueprint guidelines.
• Modify existing tooling to adapt to changing customer requests and engineering requirements.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex press and die performance issues on the floor.
• Execute tooling changeovers efficiently across multi-part production tooling systems.
• Operate machine tools including drills, lathes, grinders, and milling machines to fabricate components.
• Conduct test runs on completed tools and dies to check for smoothness, defects, and contours.
• Maintain safety standards while working near moving parts in a loud, industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of proper die-build procedures, punch press equipment, and metal forming processes.
• Proficient in using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers, alongside standard tool room machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, CAD drawings, and procedural manuals.
• Strong grasp of basic algebra, geometry, fractions, and decimals for precise measurements.
• High school diploma/GED with 5+ years of related experience preferred, or a TMA certificate.
• Capacity to stand, walk, climb, and occasionally lift or move more than 80 pounds.
