Job summary

QRC Group is seeking a Tool & Die Maker in Cayey, Puerto Rico to support manufacturing operations. The role involves fabrication, maintenance, repair, and modification of precision tooling, dies, fixtures, and molds used in high-volume medical device production, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.

Ideal candidates will have a technical degree in Tool & Die Making or related field, 3+ years of tool fabrication experience, and proficiency with manual machines, precision

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent in Tool & Die Making or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of tool and die fabrication, repair and maintenance experience.
• Proficiency operating manual machine shop equipment.
• Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings/blueprints.
• Knowledge of machining practices and tooling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, maintain, repair and modify precision tooling, dies, fixtures, molds, and related equipment for high-volume medical device manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues; perform preventive maintenance and modifications as needed.
• Read engineering drawings and ensure conformance with specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to minimize downtime and improve tooling efficiency.

Education

Tool & Die Making/ Machining Technology degree

Minimum 3 years tool and die fabrication experience

Tool& Die Maker tosupport manufacturing operations. The selected resource will be responsible forthe fabrication, maintenance, repair, and modification of precision tooling,dies, fixtures, molds, and related equipment used in high-volume medical devicemanufacturing environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experiencesupporting high-volume manufacturing operations.
• Familiaritywith CAD drawings and tooling design concepts.

Requirements

• Technical degree, vocational certification, or equivalent training in Tool & Die Making, Machining Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
  
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in tool and die fabrication, repair, and maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  
• Proficiency operating manual machine shop equipment.
  
• Experience working with precision measurement instruments.
  
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  
• Knowledge of machining practices, metalworking processes, and tool fabrication techniques.
