Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Tool & Die Maker for a leading manufacturing organization in Archdale, NC. You will design, fabricate, assemble, and maintain tooling, including punches and dies, to meet exacting tolerances.

You'll collaborate with production and engineering to resolve die issues and improve manufacturability. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CNC operation training preferred, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and repair stamping tooling with high precision.
• Collaborate with production to meet dimension tolerances.
• Troubleshoot tooling designs with Engineering to resolve issues.
• Participate in tooling trials and changes to uphold safety.

Job description

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a dedicated Tool & Die Maker to join their dynamic team. As a vital part of the manufacturing department supporting production operations, the ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Tool & Die Maker

Location: Archdale, NC

Pay Range: $29/hr with an increase at hire

Shift: 1st shift, 6am-4:30pm, Monday through Thursday. Overtime on Fridays

What's the Job?

• Design, plan, fabricate, assemble, and maintain tooling such as punches, dies, and assemblies.
• Fabricate and repair stamp tooling, ensuring high standards of quality and precision.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure parts meet dimension tolerances and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and optimize tooling designs by working closely with Engineering and Production teams to resolve die-related issues and enhance manufacturability.
• Participate in new tooling try-outs and engineering changes to uphold safety and process accuracy.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in CNC operation is highly preferred.
• Previous experience in tool and die making, with knowledge of stamping tools, both progressive and transfer, as well as basic press and feeder knowledge.
• Strong machining skills, including setup and ability to machine components to precise dimensions.
• CAD/CAM/3D experience required for designing fixtures and tools.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted.
