Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience as a Machinist Trainee or vocational school diploma.
• Ability to read two-dimensional drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply machine shop safety practices when operating tools and equipment.
• Interpret drawings and inspect finished parts with precision measuring instruments.
• Select and apply tool steel grades and heat‑treating methods based on the application.
• Perform basic machining operations, including drilling, tapping, reaming, and lathe threading.
• Assemble and mount basic single‑operation tooling.
• Validate machined components using a digitizer or optical comparator.
• Produce simple pointed or threaded tools with a tool and cutter grinder.
