Oil States Industries, Inc. is hiring a Tool Designer II to design, draft and fabricate molds, fixtures and tools. You will support engineering and manufacturing, train staff on processes, and help ensure quality that meets customer specs.

The role requires CAD and SolidWorks proficiency, knowledge of basic control electronics, and good math and communication skills. Overtime may be required in a dynamic production environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 5 years in tooling or mechanical design.
• At least 4 years of CAD software experience in a machine shop.
• At least 2 years using SolidWorks for modeling.
• At least 4 years of basic control electronics & programming.
• Read and follow verbal instructions; strong math skills.
• Basic knowledge of steel properties and fabrication practices.
• Good communication and Excel/Word skills.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot production processes.
• Design and detail complex molds, fixtures, and tooling.
• Check mold designs for fit and function with drawings.
• Prepare quotes and select vendors.
• Coordinate with machine shop for proper tooling fit.
• Use math to verify design requirements and materials.
• Inspect tooling against design drawings.
• Dispost discrepant tooling and oversee rework.
• Develop safety and process procedures; train staff.
• Plan work schedules and generate progress reports.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
