Work Schedule:

Onsite - Blacksburg, VA

To be considered for a Tool Designer role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

• HS diploma or GED required.

• At least 3 years of Machine Shop experience OR at least 2 years as a Tool Designer OR equivalent technical education and experience

• Quality conscious, mechanical aptitude, and good dexterity

As a Tool Designer, you will:

• Design molds, dies, process tooling jigs, and fixtures.

• Check own and others' tool drawings for usability and accuracy.

• Select and specify proper materials suited to job.

• Assist in implementing new designs into production.

• Analyze production problems and recommend tooling and changes to correct problems.

• Maintain drawing files and configuration control.

• Assist in training / cross training of others.

• Participate in Continuous Improvement Process and assist TEAMs with tooling improvements.

• Work with minimal supervision.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range Transparency:

Blacksburg, VA $20.00-$25.00 Hourly
