Job description

JFC Global is working with a client in York, PA to find a tenured Mechanical Engineer. This is a direct hire opportunity offering PTO, sick time and 401k match. Apply for immediate review.

Responsibilities for Mechanical Engineer:

• Prepare mechanical 3D models and 2D drawings for fabrication, construction, and installation, as well as for refurbishment, upgrades, or retrofitting projects.
• Create customer models and drawings to support the sales team using 3D software.
• Support the Engineering team by developing models and drawings with 3D software, and assist with the preparation of P&IDs, Sequence of Operations (SOO), and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD). Experience with Navisworks, Revit, and architectural drawing integration is required.
• Lead the development of manufacturability plans by reviewing contract requirements, overseeing project budgets, schedules, and quality standards, and ensuring compliance with company and contract requirements.
• Interface with engineering, production, and purchasing teams to coordinate material needs and ensure manufacturing procedures meet specifications.
• Manage project documentation, including purchase requisitions, bills of materials, and work instructions.
• Ensure quality control of final products and packaging, and travel to client sites to understand challenges and develop engineered solutions, while maintaining adherence to safety and company policies.
• Evaluate existing hardware designs and recommend improvements to enhance manufacturability and profitability.
• Determine and implement the most efficient manufacturing processes to achieve optimal results.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing teams, assisting with problem resolution, workflow guidance, and process enhancements to ensure smooth operations and successful order completion.

Requirements for Mechanical Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering field
• At least 5 years of design experience
• Proficiency in Inventor software
• Experience in sheet metal design
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting
