Job summary

SLB is seeking a motivated Tool Crib Technician to support its Data Center infrastructure solutions business. The role focuses on issuing items from the tool management system, maintaining accurate inventories, and coordinating with vendors to ensure timely replenishments.

You will create requisitions in SAP, manage calibrated tools, and ensure compliance with 5S standards while working with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in tooling or inventory management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong computer/technical skills including SAP knowledge.
  • Fluency, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Manage tooling and jigs in tool management system to keep accurate inventory.
  • Create requisitions in SAP and Shopping Cart to purchase new tooling as needed.
  • Manage consumables inventory as required including ordering replenishments.
  • Retrieve quotes from vendors, put away stock from vendors in proper tool crib location.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by cycle counting and organizing bins daily.
  • Ensure weld wire certificates are accurate on all welding consumables.
  • Service all needs of employees with tool crib and maintain weld wire pick tickets.
  • Maintain organization of tool crib through the 5S program.
  • Work in accordance with the work schedule set forth by the supervisor, which includes weekends and holidays when deemed necessary.
  • Perform all tasks in the safest manner possible to ensure that there is no damage to the equipment or personnel.
  • Coordinate with quality, purchasing, manufacturing, engineering, and warehouse to manage recertification of calibrated tools.
  • Manage repair and maintenance of tooling with OEMs.
  • Strict adherence to procedure to maintain the integrity of the tooling management system.
  • Follow all HSE and Quality processes.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

SLB is seeking a motivated Tool Crib Technician to support our Data Center infrastructure solutions business.
The Tool Crib Technician is responsible for issuing items from the tool management system to employees, sets up new employee information in the system, communicates with vendors and orders items needed for the tool crib and shop supervisors, coordinates and manages calibrated tools, orders to maintain set inventory levels on spare tools and consumables.
