Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is seeking a tool handler to receive, store, and issue tools and fixtures for local and deployed locations.

This 2nd shift role (2:30PM-12:00AM) requires maintaining tool kits, updating inventories, and ensuring accuracy of government property data, with occasional calibration of measuring devices. Experience with SAP/SharePoint is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2+ years progressive experience issuing, maintaining and monitoring tools and related devices.
• Customer-focused with basic familiarity with office and inventory/stock control software.
• Ability to work third shift (10PM-7:30AM) and first shift (6AM-3:30PM) as needed.
• Mechanical skills to maintain company and government owned tools, fixtures, dies and devices.

Responsibilities

• Receives, stores and issues tools, fixtures, dies and related items for local and deployed locations.
• Assembles and maintains tool kits; ensures accurate distribution and tracking.
• Maintains database of issued, damaged, worn, or missing equipment; orders replacements.
• Maintains shop supply inventory and government property databases.
• Cares for ground support equipment; performs basic maintenance.
• May calibrate measuring devices.
• May handle hazardous materials (HAZMAT) per regulations.
• Work safely following SOPs and company policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
