Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Crib Attendant in Hebron, KY to manage tooling and production supplies, issue and track tools, and ensure accurate inventory through SAP/ERP systems. The role includes cycle counting, material handling, and collaboration with production and shipping teams in a fast-paced environment.

Typical duties include maintaining a clean crib area, coordinating tool repairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds. This contract-to-hire position offers onsite work and benefits after eligibility.

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory control and cycle counting in a production or warehouse environment.
• Hands-on experience with tool crib management, including issuing and tracking tools and equipment.
• Proficiency with computer and data entry for inventory records and transactions.
• Material handling experience, including moving, staging, and organizing materials and supplies.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain records and an orderly crib room.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to understand tooling and fixtures.
• Strong communication to interact with production personnel.
• Ability to work as part of a fast-paced production team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain inventory of tooling, gauges, fixtures, and production supplies in the crib room.
• Issue, receive, and track tools and equipment for production personnel, ensuring accurate recordkeeping.
• Inspect tools and equipment for wear or damage and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels and perform regular cycle counts to maintain accurate stock information.
• Replenish stock in a timely manner to support ongoing production demands.
• Utilize computer systems and ERP tools such as SAP to maintain inventory records and process transactions.
• Support production and shipping operations through effective inventory control and material handling.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused crib room and surrounding work area.
• Handle materials and supplies in a warehouse or production environment, including loading, unloading, and staging as needed.
• Communicate effectively with production personnel and team members to understand tooling and supply requirements.
• Follow established procedures and documentation standards for tool crib management and inventory control.
• Identify discrepancies in inventory records and take corrective actions to resolve issues.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts if qualified, to move tools and materials safely.
• Apply basic mechanical aptitude to understand tooling, fixtures, and equipment used in production.
• Collaborate with team members to improve crib room processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
