Job summary

HORST ENGINEERING & MANUFACTURING CO in East Hartford, CT is seeking a Full Time Manual Labor role in the tool crib to support tooling, inventory, and manufacturing operations. You will receive, verify, store, and ship tooling and supplies, and work with purchasing to ensure on-time replenishment.

Applicants should have 1–2 years in a tool crib, solid communication and analytical skills, and ability to read operation sheets, blueprints, and MS Office. Forklift cert potential.

Qualifications

• One to two years prior experience in a tool crib environment.
• Must be able to read and write comments, understand operation sheets, blueprints, and specifications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Receives, verifies, organizes, and stores tools, equipment, supplies, materials, and parts inventory.
• Monitors order-points, places, and expedites tooling and supplies orders.
• Work from blueprints, operation sheets, work instructions, and other specifications to build required kits for manufacturing operations.
• Maintains inventory levels using spreadsheets and databases.
• Packs and washes/preserves parts as needed.
• Interacts with associates from all departments.
• Deliver tool kits and miscellaneous supplies to various machines on the manufacturing floor.
