Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Tool Crib Attendant in California to support a precision forging shop floor. You will issue, track, inspect, and maintain hand tools, gauges, dies, and equipment, while ensuring accurate inventory and safety.

Ideal candidates have experience in industrial environments, preferably aerospace/defense, and a background as an industrial mechanic or maintenance technician. This role offers full benefits and a stable, production-focused team.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial/manufacturing environments, preferably aerospace/defense.
• Background as an industrial mechanic or maintenance technician.
• Familiarity with tool crib operations: issuing, tracking, inspecting, and maintaining hand tools, power tools, gauges, dies, and shop equipment.
• Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and support calibration/maintenance schedules.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking.

Responsibilities

6 mont contract to hire. Full benefits and 40+ hours a week. A stable, growing precision forging manufacturer supplying the aerospace, defense, and power generation industries is hiring a Tool Crib Attendant to support its shop floor operations.

Salary: $23 - $25 per hour

Job Details

• Prior experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment, ideally within aerospace, defense, or heavy metal forming operations
• Background as an industrial mechanic, maintenance technician, or similar hands on mechanical role
• Familiarity with tool crib operations, including issuing, tracking, inspecting, and maintaining hand tools, power tools, gauges, dies, and shop equipment
• Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and support tool calibration and preventive maintenance schedules
• Comfort working in a fast paced, physically active shop floor setting
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems
• Ability to lift, move, and organize tooling and equipment as needed
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with mechanics, machinists, and production staff
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training a plus
