The Cary-Grove Chamber of Commerce in Cary, IL is seeking a detail-oriented Tool Crib Attendant. You will manage inventory, issue tools/parts, and keep precise records to ensure maintenance and production run smoothly.

Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, full-time. This role supports maintenance staff by ensuring parts and equipment are available when needed and by handling related purchasing tasks as required.

Competenze

• Experience in inventory control, tool crib operations, maintenance support, warehouse ops or similar.
• Proficiency with computer systems, inventory management software, ERP systems, and MS Office.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to maintain records and manage priorities.
• Ability to inspect tools/equipment and coordinate repairs or calibration; maintain a safe workplace.
• Forklift and/or pallet jack experience preferred; may back up other facilities.

Mansioni

• Issue tools, replacement parts, equipment, supplies, and PPE with sign-in/out records.
• Maintain inventory records using CMMS; perform cycle counts and organize storage.
• Receive, inspect, verify and stock incoming shipments; validate packing slips and PO docs.
• Generate and close maintenance work orders and requests in computerized systems.
• Order parts, write/follow up on POs, support preventive maintenance with available parts.

Job Title: Tool Crib Attendant / Cary, IL / $19.00-24.00/hour / Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm / Full-Time

Seeking a detail-oriented Tool Crib Attendant to support maintenance and production operations by managing inventory, issuing tools and parts, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with purchasing activities. This position plays a key role in ensuring maintenance personnel have the parts, supplies, and equipment needed to keep operations running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Issue tools, replacement parts, equipment, supplies, and PPE to maintenance technicians and production employees while maintaining sign-in/sign-out records.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using maintenance management software, perform cycle counts, and organize inventory within the tool crib.
• Receive, inspect, verify, and stock incoming shipments while validating packing slips, purchase orders, and receiving documentation.
• Generate, enter, complete, and close maintenance work orders and work requests through computerized maintenance systems.
• Order replacement parts and supplies, write and follow up on purchase orders, and support preventive maintenance programs by ensuring critical parts are available.

Qualifications & Benefits
