Job summary

Schuff Steel is seeking a tool repair and returns associate to handle the repair, reconditioning, and return of hand tools such as grinders and drills. You will maintain detailed records, verify tool condition, and trace misplaced items while managing a parts inventory and supporting related duties.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and may involve interpreting safety procedures and providing quality documentation for completed tasks. Strong attention to detail is essential.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and /or 12 months of training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Specialized Knowledge & Skills


  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, such as reports and repair orders to further provide documentation of completed tasks and future upgrades on equipment.

  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.

  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None.
