Job summary

JVIS, based in Ohio, seeks a Tool and Die Technician to disassemble and reassemble injection molds for preventative maintenance, ensuring mold reliability and uptime. You will operate an overhead crane (up to 40 tons), forklift, milling machine, horizontal lathe and surface grinder, and weld with TIG.

Access to molds may require a 3–6 ft ladder. The role requires a high school diploma and automotive experience, lifting up to 50 lb, strong problem-solving, and electrical troubleshooting up to 240

Qualifications

• Climb and enter injection molding equipment using a 3 to 6 foot ladder.
• Electrical troubleshooting up to 240 volts.
• Strong problem-solving skills during PM processes.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY

The Tool and Die Technician is responsible for disassemblingand reassembling injection molds for preventative maintenance purposes:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

• Operate overhead crane up to 40 Tons, forklift, milling machine, and horizontal lathe, surface grinder, powered hand tools.
• Operate TIG welder:
  Requires coordination between both hands and a foot
  Operate dry-ice blasting equipment:
  requires use of both hands at same time
  Disassemble and reassemble injection molds for preventative maintenance purposes:
  May need to lift up to 50 pounds
  Disassembly requires use of various hand tools, including pneumatic and electric powered tools/
  Working and troubleshooting electrical issues with the molds, up to 240 volts.
  Needs good problem- solving skills when faced with issues during PM process
  On feet for the duration of the shift
  Need to have the ability to climb and enter an injection molding machine which may entail working on a 3 to 6 foot step ladder
