Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a Tooling Technician to keep dies and tooling ready for production. You will perform die preventative maintenance and setup activity for production use, ensuring dies are ready and compliant.

Responsibilities include disassembling/reassembling dies, setting up die configurations on injection presses, and performing minor tooling repairs. Strong documentation practices and teamwork are essential, with weekend coverage as required.

Qualifications

Scheduled Hours: 3pm-12pm, training on 1st shift

Position Summary

The Tooling Technician supports manufacturing by ensuring all dies (and related tooling) are kept in a state of readiness. Perform die preventative maintenance and setup activity on dies for production use.

Essential Functions

• Disassemble and reassemble dies.
• Setup and trouble shoot die setups on injection presses.
• Minor repair of tooling.
• Using mills, lathes and surface grind machines to produce replacement parts.
• Maintain documentation related to tooling setups, PM’s and modifications.
• Support tooling department, as necessary.
• Must follow and adhere to all safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision
• Weekend coverage, as scheduled

• State of Ohio Tool and Die Apprenticeship Program Certification or equivalent is desirable.
• Prefer 3+ years of experience in a mechanical related technician role in a manufacturing environment.
