Join to apply for the Tool and Die Maker role at OTTO Engineering, Inc.

Our Tool and Die Maker will lead tool development and debugging of new dies.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Understand tool steels and production materials
• Work from blueprints and CAD data to construct, alter, or repair tools
• Operate Tool Room equipment
• Fabricate tooling in the stamping department
• Maintain proper tooling records for preventative maintenance
• Setup dies, material feeds, and operate punch presses for trial runs
• Debug and troubleshoot new tooling for part approval
• Assist in die changeovers
• Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications:

• Completed Tool and Die Apprenticeship or 10+ years of relevant experience
• 5-7 years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker with troubleshooting skills
• Expertise in Blue-Print reading with GDT
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of SPC
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. with assistance and push 200 lbs. on wheeled carts
• Experience with inspection equipment
• Availability for overtime and extended schedules
• CNC Mill and EDM experience is a plus

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly range: $26.00 to $32.00, based on experience
• Profit Sharing Bonus (discretionary)
• Vacation: 5 days after 30 days, 80 hours at 1 year
