Job summary

Hickman’s Family Farms seeks a Special Projects Specialist to coordinate and execute construction, maintenance, and operational projects across our farm operations. You will provide hands-on labor, technical support, and project management to ensure timely completion while upholding safety and biosecurity standards.

You'll plan, source materials, work with Maintenance, Operations and Logistics, monitor milestones, address delays, and coordinate with external contractors to meet company quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction, maintenance, or a similar role, preferably in an agricultural or food production setting.
• Basic knowledge of construction practices, mechanical hand tools, and equipment operation.
• Strong problem solving and ability to work in physically demanding environments.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing special projects related to construction, facility upgrades, and equipment installations.
• Provide hands-on labor and technical support for project tasks and operating tools.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Operations, and Logistics to meet timelines.
• Monitor progress, report milestones, and address delays while upholding safety policies.
