ITRCC is seeking a Toll Supervisor I to oversee traffic management at assigned toll plazas in northern Indiana. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and customer service, with responsibilities spanning scheduling, payroll, training, and reporting.

The successful candidate will uphold the CARES values, supervise plaza operations, and coordinate with the TMC and field teams while maintaining device and payment systems, and ensuring driver and vehicle readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and calm under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to train new hires and follow procedures.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to adhere to company policies in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Valid driver's license required.

Summary

Responsible for traffic management at assigned toll plazas to ensure efficient flow of traffic.

Relationships

• Directly reports to the Toll Operations Assistant Area Manager.
• Works directly with other Toll Operations staff and Supervisors from other departments within ITRCC.

Responsibilities

• Performs all tasks safely, complies with all internal and external safety requirements, supports ITRCC’s safety culture, attends all safety training, and completes all compliance trainings as required by ITRCC.
• Upholds ITRCC’s core values: Community, Actions, Reliability, Excellence and Safety (CARES).
• Manage Traffic Management/Customer Service/Roadside Toll Collection System.
• Manager Plaza Operations (Master Fund Verifications, Breaks, Gate Replacements, Trouble Tickets, etc).
• Perform administrative Tasks (Scheduling, Payroll, Training and Development, Safety Compliance, Recaps, weekly and monthly reporting, , etc.)
• Use Communications - Written and Verbal, Radio Usage, Cross-Department Reporting.
• Interact with customers professionally and efficiently.
• Utilize company vehicles and assist in maintenance schedule and regular inspections of vehicle conditions.
• Ensuring the safety of all toll collectors.
• Ensure plaza configurations are accurate at all times and performs and logs routine plaza checks.
• Monitor transactions and payment types via Remote Console.
• Serve as liaison between the TMC and field to report disabled vehicles and / or incidents.

• Must have proven organization skills.
• Must possess effective communication skills both written and orally.
• Must possess the knowledge and skill necessary to effectively perform on the job training for new hires.
• Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to apply company policies in a consistent manner with the best interest of the company in mind.
• Must possess the ability to manage in a fast-paced high stress environment while providing a high level of customer focus.
• Must be able to lift and carry weights up to 50 lbs. along with other physical duties involving pushing, pulling and lifting.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
