Job summary

On-Board Services is hiring a ToF-SIMS Analytical Laboratory Technician for the 2nd shift in Wilmington, Delaware. The role supports R&D, TS&D, and Manufacturing teams with analytical services and sample preparation using ToF-SIMS.

The position requires a BS in a related field or equivalent experience, and candidates should have strong sample prep and safety focus. Benefits include 401K, dental, life, medical, vision, and PTO.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, Engineering, or related field or equivalent on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for ToF-SIMS analysis following established procedures.
• Handle air-sensitive or contamination-sensitive samples.
• Perform routine ToF-SIMS analyses including surface spectroscopy, chemical imaging, and depth profiling.
• Operate the ToF-SIMS instrument during 2nd shift hours and perform basic instrument checks.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and routine instrument maintenance.
• Coordinate troubleshooting with first-shift staff and scientists.
• Document experimental conditions, sample info, observations, and results.
• Prepare analysis summaries and contribute to technical reports.
• Dispose of laboratory waste per protocols.
• Coordinate with first-shift scientists to ensure continuity.
