Yoh Staffing is seeking an R&D Technician FIB-SEM to support our client in Wilmington, DE. This onsite contract role focuses on operating a focused-ion beam scanning electron microscope, preparing samples, and providing analytical support to R&D, TS&D, and Manufacturing.

You'll perform FIB-SEM analyses with EDS/EBSD, review data for reporting, maintain instruments, and follow safety protocols. The position offers daytime training and a schedule around 4:00 pm–12:30 am with some flexibility, plus

R&D Technician FIB-SEM (ONSITE)

needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh Staffing’s client working in Wilmington, DE.

• Pay Rate: $28-31/hr
• Shift: M-F 4:00 pm - 12:30 am (some flexibility may be available in daily start/finish times). Will be trained during daytime hours (~8:30 am - 5 pm) for the first three months.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Operation of a focused-ion beam scanning electron microscope (FIB-SEM) in support of the Leveraged Analytical Sciences group.
• The candidate will work under the direction of experienced scientists to provide analytical support for Research and Development (R&D), Technical Service and Development (TS&D), and Manufacturing.
• Prepare samples for analysis, following established procedures using equipment such as mechanical polishers, plasma or sputter coaters, and FIB-SEM cross-section milling and lift-out procedures.
• Perform FIB-SEM analyses including imaging, energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and electron backscattered diffraction (EBSD), and assess basic data quality.
• Review and organize collected data for reporting to customers.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance, following established procedures.
• Dispose of laboratory waste according to established protocols.
• Adhere to all safety protocols.

Required:

• 1+ years of experience performing FIB-SEM analyses and x-ray spectroscopy in an R&D environment
