Job summary
On-Board Services in Houston, TX is seeking a Lab Technician for a contract position. The technician will work under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist and perform coating tests, collect data, and report results in a laboratory notebook.
Responsibilities include evaluating data, performing experiments using established procedures, entering results in computer charts/tables, making cleaners/pretreatments/paints/coatings from ingredients, and testing coated substrates per procedures.
Qualifications
- 1 year of demonstrated laboratory experience.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols to preserve data.
- Comfortable working with toxic chemicals and able to stand for long periods.
Responsibilities
- Testing of coatings.
- Evaluate, collect and record data.
- Summarize and report results in a laboratory notebook.
- Enter data and charts/tables into a computer for communication of results.
- Prepare cleaners/pretreatments/paints/coatings from chemical ingredients.
- Test performance characteristics of coated substrates using established procedures.
