Job summary

Chesterbrook Academy is seeking a Toddler Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing classroom where toddlers explore, build confidence, and develop foundational skills. You will implement developmentally appropriate activities supporting language, motor, cognitive, and social-emotional growth while maintaining routines that help children feel secure and supported.

You will create lesson plans, lead sensory exploration, music, art, and outdoor play, and collaborate with teachers and leaders to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Child Development Associate credential in Infant/Toddler care; or 30 hours college credit with minimum 6 in EC/Child Dev.
• One year of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans for toddlers.
• Facilitate sensory play, music, stories, art, and outdoor activities.
• Support development of language, mobility, coordination, independence, and social skills.
• Supervise classroom activities, meals, naps, and transitions.
• Assist with diapering, toileting readiness, handwashing and feeding.
