Job summary

Chesterbrook Academy is seeking a Toddler Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom for toddlers. You will implement developmentally appropriate activities that support language, motor, cognitive, and social-emotional growth while maintaining routines that foster security.

You will create lesson plans, guide sensory play, stories, art, and outdoor exploration, and collaborate with families and staff to ensure a positive learning experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Child Development Associate credential for Infant/Toddler care or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in licensed child care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans for toddlers.
• Facilitate sensory play, music, stories, art, outdoor activities.
• Support language, mobility, coordination, independence, and social interactions.
• Supervise classroom, meals, rest periods, and transitions.
• Assist with diapering, toileting readiness, and personal care routines.
• Communicate with families about activities and milestones.
• Ensure health, safety, and licensing compliance.
